Before sharing my details, I just wanted to mention that even with these settings, I was using the game at a playable frame rate of 30-50fps.
I own an Athlon X4 860k, paired with a GTX 1050 2gb, and have 8gb of 1600mhz RAM.
For nearly a month, I've played with these specs—during that time, I upgraded my GTX 750 1gb to a GTX 1050 2gb, which is why this issue hasn't happened before.
However, about two to three days ago, when I opened the Warzone lobby, I saw it struggling to keep 20-30 fps, while it usually runs smoothly at 40-60fps.
As I began playing, it would cause major stutters, making the experience unplayable.
Recently, I noticed the CPU time in Warzone was 30-60ms or more, whereas in-game it was just 6-17ms.
I've tried several fixes so far—switching game mode, adjusting CPU priority in Modern Warfare, updating Windows, reinstalling GPU drivers, changing config files from YouTube, disabling full screen optimizations, and increasing render resolution to 200 or even 100.
Not much improvement.
Also, I’ve checked my CPU temperature by monitoring it while using the game; high temps aren’t the issue, as they rarely exceed 70°C.
Do you have any suggestions on how to resolve this?
Thanks in advance.
P.S. I also attempted to set my paging file to just use the SSD, even though Warzone is installed on my HDD (my SSD is 120gb, and it’s on the OS drive, while my HDD is 320gb).

Did you verify your processor speeds during temperature checks? How much space is occupied by your SSD and HDD? You might want to run crystaldiskinfo to assess drive condition and avoid failing drives.

To address your queries, my SSD still has 21gb available, and my HDD retains 107gb. In Crystaldiskinfo, both devices show "Good" health status. However, after installing MSI Afterburner to track CPU temperatures, usage, and GPU performance, the system returned to normal operation. I only downloaded the software immediately upon waking up from sleep after posting this message. I didn’t capture a Core Temp screen while gaming, but I did save one during lobby play. My frame rates are currently struggling to hit 30fps. This update aims to reassure you that my game is now running smoothly without the significant lag that previously hindered play.
