Dear all,
Let's begin with my PC specifications:
GPU: 1070TI
CPU: Ryzen 7 2700
Motherboard: ASROCK B450 Pro4
RAM: G.SKILL DDR4 2 x 8GB 3000Mhz
PSU: Antec HCG 520 WATT
SSD: Crucial MX 500
144hz monitor
Recently I've noticed significant FPS drops. For Fortnite players during the Stark Industries update, performance was stable on an older Windows version and with outdated NVIDIA drivers due to FPS issues. After updating Windows (Windows 10 2004 update or similar) I couldn't revert because my restore point vanished.
Now both Windows and my NVIDIA GPU drivers are current. However, I still experience major FPS drops and I'm unsure what's causing the problem. According to HW info:
Picture with FPS in game over time:

(Image capped at 160 FPS)
GPU utilization stays at max 72%
CPU utilization peaks at 44% (Single core 89.7 is the highest recorded)
Anyone have a clue about the issue? I have no idea and it's really frustrating...

I had your same problem, I fixed it by uncapping FPS. I have an R5 with 3600 and a GTX 1660 Ti, so it runs normally capped at 165, but it was dropping around 70-80 FPS. After uncapping, I got about 250 with a minimum of 150-170, though it still drops. The issue isn’t fully resolved—it’s just about having higher FPS than my monitor refreshes. I think this might be related to the latest Windows patch. Yesterday I installed it and discovered this problem, but I haven’t played Fortnite in about two months, so I’m unsure what the real cause is. Try setting it to unlimited, maybe it will help.

Sorry to hear you're experiencing issues. It seems the performance isn't improving much, and your settings are likely set to a lower level.
