I currently own a B450 gaming plus max from MSI. I upgraded the BIOS via the support site to enable my 5600X in use. I’m planning to install a B550 Strix mobile and will reinstall my Ryzen 5 3600 into the existing motherboard. It’s a budget model, but I think the 3600 should still function after the BIOS update. I heard that with the beta BIOS release it stopped supporting older chips, but this wasn’t a beta version—it was listed on the main support page. I believe it will still work once I put the 3600 back in. I’m confident it will run smoothly, especially since the update was on the primary BIOS page and it worked before.
