PC is approximately 18 months old. A case fan at the bottom is stopping and starting with a grinding noise. The rest of the fans seem normal. It's an ARCTIC P12 PWM PST A-RGB (3 Pack) - 120 mm PWM case fan. Are you sure it can be fixed or should I replace it? Thanks! 20240520_111546.mp4 Windows 10 Home 64bit Version 22H2 CPU: Intel 13700K RAM: 64GB Storage: 3X 2TB M.2 Samsung 980 pro PSU: MSI MPG A1000G 1000W GPU: MSI Gaming Trio RTX 4090 Motherboard: MSI MPG Z690 EDGE WIFI ATX LGA1700 Case: Lian Li O11D XL-X ATX Full Tower Case

Verify whether the fan blades are in contact with the mounting surface. It appears the issue may be caused by blades touching something.

I examined the situation and used a flashlight to search nearby. The blades appear unblocked. The fan operates smoothly for extended periods without stalling or producing sound. I might remove it later for a more detailed check.

It appears the issue isn't due to blockage, so likely worn bearings are the cause. You might test another front fan to check mounting preferences. If needed, reach out to Lian Li for a replacement if it's their model.

Thanks for the ideas! I took out the faulty fan and checked for any blockages, but found nothing that was causing the issue. I planned to exchange it with a vertical fan, though assembling the daisy chain of cables was quite challenging. Now I’m ordering a replacement from Arctic, which should resolve the problem.
