My laptop (Acer Aspire 7 A715-42g) volume control stopped working, it only turns on and off. This issue happened before, and the solution I found was reinstalling the Realtek audio driver. I downloaded it from the Acer website and installed it, but when I tried to restart it, it would turn on, play the Windows welcome music, then after logging in the Realtek setup would run and uninstall the driver before trying to reinstall again. This cycle kept repeating.
