You're dealing with two Windows installations sharing the same desktop but behaving differently. It sounds like the issue might be related to how each OS handles storage and OneDrive integration. The fact that both have access to the same drives but appear as different letters suggests a potential conflict in file system management or OneDrive synchronization settings. Since both drives are healthy, it could be that OneDrive is trying to sync across them, causing confusion. The separate boot behavior might also play a role—each OS sees one drive while treating the other as a different partition. This inconsistency could stem from how Windows handles partitions and file system checks during startup.

Both installations are on the same disk? Which Windows version are you using, and was the drive formatted by yourself or handled automatically by Windows?

On the same computer, but on a different storage device. Two distinct SSDs are present—one already installed and another being replaced for the new setup. One is 10GB and the other 7GB. (Don’t bother asking why I’m stuck with Windows 7—it’s terrible. Tell me why you don’t use a VM, etc. It’s just what I have to run.)
