The issue seems to be with the cracked screen and the brief flash during removal, which may have damaged the board. The fact that the system powers on but the display stays black suggests a deeper problem. It might be worth considering whether repairs are possible or if you'll need a new motherboard.

You left the charger connected, right? That wasn’t a good move. It seems you damaged the power connections on the display port. You won’t need the built-in screen any time soon.

I would change it; fixing it would be difficult...

If the harm was limited to that area, it could appear unusual; you might have to add some wires to work around the melted or broken sections. In other words, as discussed earlier, you may need connections from outside. The most serious possibility is that additional components were affected beyond just that spot.

Left battery connected, but that’s a risky choice. I took a look at another motherboard priced near $450 just to find out if repairs were possible.

I also tried using the plastic tool. Believed it wouldn't conduct electricity.

Updated, connected to an external monitor and everything works smoothly. Ugh, I just got a $140 replacement screen for this device. Fixing it will cost another $450. (Silly mistakes, I’m at fault) Thanks for the support everyone, I’m hoping you’re having a better day than me did, lol.

What are your thoughts on this? Could it be fixed?

It seems the circuit got damaged during the burn, likely from heat affecting the PCB coating. The bubbling and burn mark suggest it’s beyond repair. Replace the board soon.
