For buyers who invested between $750 and $800 in the Zotac Arctic Storm 980ti and intend to use RIGID acrylic tubing, this card includes BARBED Fittings. It does not support G1/4 Compression Fittings. The barbed fittings are incompatible with Rigid tubing. However, I have some positive updates:
I collaborated with a machine shop and provided them with the barbed fitting from the Zotac card along with a G1/4 Compression fitting for Rigid tubing. They were able to fabricate a replacement piece that accommodates the G1/4 fitting using its O-Ring. The component is made from stainless steel.
I can help coordinate orders and share specifications, but I’ll ensure my installation succeeds first to confirm functionality.
If you’re interested, please reply to this message. The adapters are around $25 each, which is a higher cost, but for those who received the Zotac cards and cannot return them yet—yet want to finish their project with Rigid Tubing—this seems like a viable solution. I can also forward the quote they sent.
I’m eager to proceed. I wasn’t expecting to complete my build as originally planned with Rigid tubing!
Please let me know if you need any of these fittings for that Zotac Arctic Storm 980ti card. I’ll have eight extras ready, since there are users who will require them.

The dimensions of the fittings are unclear. Some users have reported success with G1/4 sizes, but there seems to be inconsistency across different production batches, meaning you might be encountering similar problems. It's not G3/8 either, as indicated in the information I've gathered...so the so-called "10mm" size isn't definitively what it claims to be. A more straightforward approach would be to purchase a standard 980Ti and install a full cover block—this might also improve cooling performance.

The dimensions of the fittings are unclear. Some users have reported success with G1/4 sizes, but there seems to be inconsistency across different production batches, which might explain why you encountered problems. It doesn't appear to be a G3/8 fit either, as the 10mm size isn't confirmed. It would be simpler to purchase a standard 980Ti card and install a full cover block, which would likely perform better. The original Zotac fittings are M18x1.5 female threads, which is unusual for PC cooling compression fittings—Zotac seems to have chosen this thread intentionally to avoid common alternatives. Given the limited options, buying new reference cards isn't feasible for those of us who can't return the purchased ones. From a cooling standpoint, this card remains a hybrid (air and watercooled) and includes three fans. I'm considering using the Watercooling feature with an AlphaCool MONSTA 360 RAD adapter, but I need custom adapters to fit the G1/4 rigid compression fittings and use rigid acrylic tubing. Thanks for sharing this—other users have faced similar issues.

Hello,
I'm very interested in your special fitting because I also have a 980 ti arctic storm and I really want to make a rigid water cooling system.
How can I have two? Or if you have another solution I'm also interested in.
Thanks in advance, sorry for my bad English.

Do you have two available? I also need to go to G1/4 fitting.

Interested in acquiring four of these items you previously created. If you could reach out to confirm availability, I would be very grateful. If not, could you provide the shop details so I can assist further?

Hi everyone, for those interested in the dimensions of the barb fittings on these cards, the Zotac tech team provided a clear image showing the thread size is M18 and you'll need a 3/8 tube size. They also mentioned the ID should be 10mm and the OD 11mm.
