Brand Name: Asus rog strix x670e-i
Issue Summary: I purchased the motherboard second-hand at a low price (~120 dollars) and noticed missing parts on the back near mounting holes. Attempted to run it without the cooling fan, which damaged the M.2 slots and chipset. Powered it without the fan and the PSU entered protection mode, likely overcurrent. Have you checked the brand’s customer support for help? If so, what outcome did you get? What would be a perfect fix for this problem? Please share a close-up photo from the bottom right of the board behind the M.2s, near the mounting holes, as shown in the attached pictures (the second image shows the board with missing components).

This section addresses concerns regarding product or support quality. It suggests you might be trying to fix an item you were certain was defective.

Do you have background in handling these kinds of fixes? If you tried running the board with the missing parts and saw damage, you're likely dealing with more than just swapping a single component. This unit is now considered e-waste.

I have limited experience and don’t expect to fix this board easily. I just need a close-up view to identify what parts are missing and whether they can be replaced by someone more skilled with the right tools.
