Building a new system is on the horizon, and I'm curious about rendering in Blender. After using a GT 430 for some time, it's clear it's time for an upgrade. I'm weighing the GT 770 against the R9 290 for gaming and rendering. The 290 performs better in games but struggles with Blender output—especially noticeable with Luxmark due to OpenCL limitations. It seems the 770 might still work with Cycles soon, or I may need a separate renderer like Luxmark.

I actually rely on my MacBook Air for light cycles, which makes rendering quite time-consuming.
