I’m preparing a system reset for my sister’s computer to resolve an issue. I’m curious about whether removing Microsoft Office will disable its activation so I can reinstall it later. Please let me know if this is the right topic.

It seems you're checking if your system uses Office 365 or a previous version. Let me help clarify!

Looking for the product key when your sister isn’t available? You can check the email they sent you.

Then I question whether it's possible to reuse it. If it functions like Windows 7 keys, you might be able to. I've used my Windows 7 key five times (just on one computer at a time), but I'm not sure if Office works that way. You could copy the Office files into the "programs(x86)" folder and then add them during the fresh Windows installation; you likely won't need to modify anything. (I can't guarantee this will work) Alternatively, consult Microsoft support—they probably have the right guidance.
