You rely on their software. Why? You're unsure of the reasoning. Oh, and I didn't quite understand your point :-P

I share what @ Wenty said. I’m not confident about the whole Microsoft account idea—it collects a lot of personal info. There’s also plans to add ads directly into the operating system, as reported by The Verge. They already do similar things with Xbox 360, by the way. Plus, Cortana functions mainly as a data-collection tool. Better to steer clear of Windows 10.

The issue lies in purchasing software through the App Store, which increases the number of high-quality apps but also encourages buying a Windows 10 Phone to access more applications (a trend seen with previous Windows versions). You might also end up spending on music, movies, or subscriptions like Microsoft Music. Additionally, Microsoft doesn’t generate revenue from upgrades. Examining their financials shows minimal spending on upgrades or retail purchases—people typically switch Windows only when necessary. It seems more advantageous to keep it free, benefiting the company through other means.

It’s best to steer clear of Windows 10, wouldn’t you agree? The data it gathers helps make Cortana’s assistance function properly. If you used any Google products or services, they monitor your activity, create a detailed profile, and sell it, storing your information indefinitely on their servers.
