Remove the unused OS from the BIOS settings.
Remove the unused OS from the BIOS settings.
I attempted to delete those settings, but it didn’t work. The tool only displays Windows. Is there another way to remove them?
From what I can see in the image, you only have the "Default one" installed. If you're certain another OS is present and you wish to remove the current one, you need the file named "Windows.old" in the "C:\Windows.old" directory. Avoid deleting any folder called "Windows" since that would erase your newer operating system. Please note you can't delete the default OS directly; you must switch to another OS first and then proceed.
It's incorrect to remove it that way; some files need system permissions. If you encounter issues, use a deletion tool or provide access. The Windows.old feature allowed backing up older installations of Windows 10 within 10 days, otherwise all previous data would be lost.
I'm uncertain about the exact steps, but you can start by cleaning the disk using Disk Cleanup, then run a system file cleanup to locate and remove the unwanted OS.
You must install the EFI boot drive in Windows and remove any unnecessary directories. Be careful—altering the boot partition might render the whole storage device non-functional.
The feedback provided is quite poor. Refer to the guidelines at https://www.easyuefi.com/faq/en-US/Edit-...tries.html for instructions on editing and removing UEFI Boot Menu entries.
