Remove metro apps effortlessly on Windows 10
I've long sought to remove all metro applications from Windows 10, but the options available only let me uninstall a handful, not everything. Programs I never need—like Photos, Maps, Music, Videos—can't be deleted. I've experimented with PowerShell before, yet nothing stuck. Then a free portable tool appeared that actually helped. It was easy: right-click 10AppsManager.exe, run it as admin, pick the apps you want to remove, and click uninstall. Just remember, it advises backing up or restoring before changing anything, but I ignored that. It functions perfectly. Get 10AppsManager now!
In Windows 8.1 PowerShell commands like Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers | Remove-AppxPackage are available. On Windows 10 they haven’t been documented yet.
This solution helped, though two apps kept refusing removal—Photos and Camera. Overall, I’m glad I discovered this to clear everything out! I’ll never use any of those outdated metro apps again.
