When using an AMD card, avoid working with Nvidia drivers. My experience with AMD cards on Linux is nonexistent since I prefer Intel or Nvidia due to limited support. Perhaps another person can assist you.

Which card are you employing? If it's a recent model, you likely won't require any further actions because AMDGPU includes the kernel by default.
