Remote Wake On LAN functionality is not functioning.
I configured Wake on Lan on my PC and it functioned properly for some time. I also set up port forwarding on my router to redirect local port 9 to another port, as my ISP blocks ports below 1024. It worked well inside the network but not when accessed from outside. So far, I've tried changing ports and restarting the router, but those attempts didn't resolve the issue.
Initially sorry for my unclear writing. I encountered that issue yesterday and discovered the fix today. Please add your PC to the ARP table on the router. The main change is that this is the first time I'm attempting remote WOL on this device (previously used a different ISP), so before making ARP updates, WOL from WAN didn't function at all. However, you mentioned your router previously worked and now it's stopped... It would be useful if you could provide more details such as the router brand and model, the PC operating system, etc.
regrettably the device lacks an ARP configuration, making it a Sagemcom F@ST 3284U HP NET model. The computer operates on Windows with an Intel network chip.
Have you verified the IP address provided by your internet service provider? Many IP addresses are temporary and may shift based on your ISP.
I'm using ddns tools to redirect my IP address. I also attempted to connect using the raw IP, but it failed. What's unusual is that I've kept the same IP for at least two weeks without any changes, so there should be no issue with it. Last night I tried to obtain a fresh IP from my ISP to verify ddclient's compatibility with Cloudflare for another project. Now I'm attempting to restart the PC, and it's working again. It seems like the problem might be related to the ISP's router or modem. This is odd because all forwarded ports on it are functioning properly.
