Find a way to connect your PC from your phone while you're not on the same network, and choose RD for optimal performance and minimal data use.

Yes, that's correct. You can adjust the settings through your router's configuration page.

My router provides several server options to select from. I'll check which one suits my area best. Thank you!

Avoid exposing RDP port 3389 to your local network. Install a VPN solution instead. Keep remote access secure and controlled.

The wireless router is set to a private WAN IP address. It might operate within a multi-NAT setup, making DDNS unavailable.

Opening the port to the world could expose your PC to potential security risks, as anyone might attempt unauthorized access. Having a strong password helps, but it doesn’t eliminate all threats. If many users connect, the system might face performance issues or misuse if not properly managed.

It doesn't matter how confident you feel about your password. RDP frequently faces vulnerabilities, and many unknown ones might exist that could allow an attacker to bypass your credentials and cause serious damage across your system and network. Exposing RDP publicly is a major security risk.

DynDNS combined with a VPN functions properly or can be used similarly to TeamViewer or VNC.

Honestly, it seems like the system functions well enough, but there are some limitations. VNC works fine overall, though it might not be ideal for gaming on your PC at home. TeamViewer offers high-quality performance, while RDP and VPN could face significant issues since many games won’t run properly through those methods.
