Hi, I captured an NFL game on YouTube tonight using Movavi Screen Recorder to watch it later without commercials. MSR records the screen and creates an MKV file. I play it back with VLC after the game finishes. VLC lets me use the Right and Left Arrow keys for skipping, which are customizable to any time span you prefer. For example, 180 seconds helps skip commercials, while 25 seconds works well for skipping huddles. Three of the four skip options need a specific key combination—like CTRL + Right Arrow, then Left Arrow, set to 10 seconds. The second skip uses just the Right or Left Arrow. Other combinations exist, such as ALT with the arrow keys. I’m wondering if there are remote controls that support these actions with a wireless keyboard, but I’d rather use a handheld remote instead. Thanks in advance.

I’d prefer a handheld remote. I already own a MiniX Neo W2, but you might find this option interesting:

Lenovo N5902 – backlit, works with Windows 10/11.

Lutfij, the Lenovo model exceeds my expectations since I already possess something comparable. In terms of form factor, I’m seeking a version more akin to the MiniX Neo W2, though it offers significantly more buttons and features than necessary. I have a few questions: Is the MiniX programmable? Specifically, can its front-side directional buttons be reprogrammed so they act like the Arrow Keys, or do they default to keyboard functions? Additionally, is it possible to assign certain front buttons to function as CTRL or ALT on a PC keyboard? If not, the remote may not serve my intended purpose effectively.
Thanks again.
