Remastered version of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim?
Remastered version of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim?
I'm really looking forward to dx11 and accurate reflections. However, I don't think Skyrim is enjoyable in its vanilla version, so I'll hold off until I get my vampire loli mods.
It seems there should be a distinct download available to avoid overwriting your existing setup, and it's already free with updates for DX11 64-bit. Why not offer both? I'll be reviewing official announcements around mid-October to check for any changes before making a decision. Just want to avoid getting caught off guard by small details later.
The backlash has made many modders hesitate, especially since some are being copied and shared without repercussions. It seems they won’t invest time in porting their creations to the new engine. The effort varies by mod and the quality of tools available. Skyrim boasts impressive mods, but many will require significant work—texture and mesh replacements aren’t impossible, though not all are straightforward. I’ll observe how the community handles this before making any changes.
Honestly, before giving it up just because mods already make it look nicer, think about these points: It’s still Skyrim, so if a mod isn’t compatible anymore it should be easy to update for it. It seems likely they’ll support 64-bit and possibly DX11, which should solve the RAM issue you’re worried about. This could also ease the limits on how many mods you can install. Some mods might become unnecessary. Probably helps make more mods possible, letting them look even better without hurting performance—maybe existing ones get a nice performance lift too. A little hope here, right? We might end up getting ENB-like graphics without real ENB mods or at least a solid boost keeping frame rates stable. ...And don’t forget it’s free to update! So unless we manage to get the needed mods working, why not?
