No USB boot media was made newly for this installation. The tool from Microsoft was used to generate it.

Some partitions can be concealed, often during OEM setups, but it's conceivable. What symbols appear?

I referred to earlier that the 3dMark demo and the RE4 Chainsaw demo are both available on Steam.

That seems strange since they shouldn't be in a hidden partition.

People talk about ghostly drives, but it's more likely a software issue. It seems the old partitions might still be intact, with all bits set to zero.

You can take extra steps to guarantee full removal, such as using specialized tools or performing a clean boot.

You can try a clean installation to guarantee everything is reset.

Are you using an MS account with your files linked to OneDrive? If yes, what appears on your desktop and in your documents will have been pulled back from the cloud. The latest version of Windows 11 also restores shortcuts from the start menu or task bar, asking you to reinstall apps when you click them. Deleting partitions erases everything permanently.

The original Acronis True Image includes a feature known as the Acronis DriveCleanser, which allows you to erase a drive. It's a subscription-based product, yet many storage manufacturers offer their own free versions for customers. For a single drive, you'll require a bootable USB—often containing a Linux distribution or Acronis' own software.
