It appears to be a different laptop model than expected. The image doesn’t seem to come from the device. I ran CMD with admin privileges. Please let me know if you've tried other methods to disable it, such as accessing registry keys.

The device is an Asus x54c. I accessed cmd through the Windows bottom+r menu. I'm unsure if it runs with admin privileges. We've attempted using a function key to disable airplane mode. The laptop has been restarted several times. The issue seems to be that airplane mode is grayed out, suggesting it wasn't activated.

Check for a tangible button on the laptop to activate airplane mode. Many machines have a specific switch. EDIT: Also, you mentioned using the function key—look for keys with radio or airplane symbols, then hold the fn key and press the icon with that symbol. F2 seems typical for Asus devices. Try these steps: locate Airplane mode in settings (Settings > Network & Internet > Airplane Mode) and verify the toggle is off. Also, confirm if your organization manages these settings at the top of the page. Verify the RmSvc service is active (Radio Management service). If running, attempt to stop and disable it before restarting. If not, start it and see if the greyout persists. Explore CMD, right-click, and run as admin to retry the command. It seems the function is activated via F2 on that laptop. Since airplane mode is turned off, this aligns with what I would anticipate, not a software problem.
