I won't rely on RYZEN because of their reliability issues—they need heavy overclocking and faster RAM, and they struggle with single-thread performance which matters most for gaming. The i3 10105F is a solid CPU, but you're unsure how well it performs in modern games compared to older models.

Yes, it works well for gaming. The B560M offers solid performance suitable for most games.

We have solid data from benchmark tests across various loads, showing the CPU performs roughly 20% slower in single-threaded tasks compared to Intel's 160$ i5 series. It’s best to avoid overclocking and consider verifying your sources on sample size before making decisions.

I haven't purchased it yet, so I'm curious about how much I can push this CPU to its limits.

The overclock effect would be almost negligible, barely noticeable compared to other low-end or even older processors.

It's the sole budget CPU available in the box version.

Which Ryzens are you evaluating? Zen 2 and later models see poorer performance unless you apply a highly optimized setting; they work best with PBO and higher power limits. A single-threaded setup matches most Intel chips, minor differences only matter if you're pushing 360Hz on a global scale. I personally avoid Ryzen for my primary build and don’t fabricate excuses to support that choice. Regarding the main point, as others have mentioned, customization isn’t recommended. If speed is your goal, simply switch to a completely new processor.

The I3 is great, it's ideal. I'd even consider a more affordable option.

won't become more affordable since I require an argument because it's essential for professional use.

For a budget-friendly choice, consider an i3-12100F with a B660 board and a 16GB 3200MHz RAM kit. It adds about $100 but offers significant performance gains. If you have more funds, opt for the 12400F for even better results.
