Other gaming sites such as PS4 and Xbox One plan to launch on their originally announced dates—November 3rd in the US and November 5th in Europe. The discussion highlights a focus on improving frame rate for Need for Speed, with PC release now set for Spring 2016. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will keep their November 3rd start in North America and November 5th globally. This move allows more time to enhance visuals for PC players, aligning content updates with console releases from the beginning. The decision reflects a strategic shift toward prioritizing performance improvements before broader platform rollout.

What are you talking about? Your game looks so bad optimized that fixing the frame rate lock could take months? They can’t connect it to physics, right? Who cares?

They managed to sort it out eventually, though I'm not entirely confident. I haven't played an NFS game on PC recently.

In Rivals, FPS became closely linked with gameplay. Man I thought they learned their lesson. Rolleyes

This approach appears to be a new strategy for game publishers to boost revenue. They postpone PC releases by claiming to improve optimization for PC first, then let console buyers get the game initially, followed by a later update with enhancements like better graphics or performance. The goal is to encourage console purchases and eventually convert them to PC buyers.

I believe developers collaborate with Sony and Microsoft, strategically releasing titles for PC later, which strengthens the case for purchasing a console. It's outrageous to see such delays, especially when it comes to achieving the desired frame rate.

PC optimization is quite challenging, especially when compared to titles like Arkham Knight. It struggled across many systems, including my own, likely because it was left unattended and Iron Galaxy had limited time for a stable release. I had to lower the resolution to 720p to maintain a smooth frame rate. I prefer games that run smoothly over those that behave poorly.

They understood it performed poorly yet decided to release it. After that, they ceased selling it for PC, prompting gamers using PS4 or Xbox One to purchase it instead.
