Hey there! For your ASUS X570-P motherboard with BIOS 2407, updating to the latest BIOS might change your system settings. If you switch to Windows 11 by default, you won’t automatically get it unless you manually enable the AMD resizable bar. You’ll need to check your BIOS options after the update to see if it supports that feature. If not, you might have to upgrade to Windows 11 yourself.

TLDNR indicates no such concern. Reason behind this view: Spoiler Bios functions more like a basic system that mainly starts the machine and verifies hardware capabilities. It then executes whatever operating system is present on the storage device. BIOS processes aren<|pad|>, not managed by Microsoft alone but by various firms such as Phoenix and American megatrends. Dell typically handles its own setup. These entities generally operate independently from Microsoft structurally, though acquisitions are possible. If BIOS controls OS selection, Linux wouldn’t function on x86/AMD64 as it clearly does.

It suggests certain BIOS configurations that Windows 11 needs enabled by default, such as secure boot and TPM, without needing any manual adjustments.

On Windows 11 you need to turn on TPM. You don’t have to upgrade, but your BIOS is outdated—you’ll need to update it.
