Consider updating your MSI Z790 Edge after six months. It’s working fine overall, but only the front USB ports on the case are unused. You might want to check the latest version for improvements, though updates aren’t always necessary unless there’s a specific need.

Check your current BIOS release. For CPUs with Intel aging issues, updating the BIOS is strongly advised if you have a 13th or 14th generation processor.

If it supports DDR5, consider upgrading. It's still emerging technology. The newest options are available now. No need for older firmware to function.

Latest improvements include BIOS updates that address security issues and enhance performance. Make sure you're using the correct version—WIFI, Monster, or RTX.

You can check the version by looking at the software's settings, help menu, or by checking the file name and any displayed info. If you tell me which program you're using, I can give you more specific steps!

It's simpler to open System Information, which also shows the BIOS version and date.
