I mean, having only a bit of experience with 8, I really don’t care about it. I attempted to use a friend’s laptop and couldn’t handle it.

I mastered Windows 8 in just two weeks—it's an excellent operating system, though it has a slightly different appearance.

Windows 10 isn't officially released yet, and the necessary drivers are still pending. Even when available, we'll have to wait for more refined versions. Still, the platform looks promising overall. The main issue is the mandatory Windows updates and driver installations. I shared a user suggestion to prevent automatic updates, which is gaining traction but needs more support from Microsoft: https://windows.uservoice.com/forums/265...de-updates. Please cast your vote so updates can be adjusted in future releases. Besides that, it's a strong and reliable operating system—Windows 10 is continuously improving with each release.

I really like Windows 8.1, so I’d recommend it. You might want to check—Windows 8/8.1 is more affordable now, right? I’ve been testing Windows 10 in the insider preview and I’m impressed. Just like when Windows 8 was launched, I plan to upgrade soon, even though it might not be the best idea. Flemo

If you enjoy the start menu, Windows 10 could be a good fit. Personally, I’ve grown fond of Windows 8.1, which makes it tough to accept Windows 10 just because you’re not a big fan of it. From my experience with the W10 build 10074, it feels quite raw and a mix of older versions. The search bar placement doesn’t sit right with me, while the charms bar has its appeal. Still, if Microsoft treats 8.1 as a completely new OS, and if the cycle goes from bad to good again, 8.1 could work well while 10 feels outdated. Many might prefer 10 because it brings back elements they’ve used before, offering a familiar modern feel. From a design perspective, 8.1 is cleaner but it can feel cluttered with live tiles and the start menu—hard to choose between them. I can live with 8.1 or 7, but 10 doesn’t suit me well (I really hoped otherwise). I’d rather stick with Ubuntu, Fedora, or Elementary instead of Windows, though Linux wouldn’t meet all my needs.
