Recently acquired the 3-pack from GMG, managed to complete the first two and am now on the third. Initially assumed it would be a GTA-style game, but the storytelling impressed me and the action scenes really captured my attention, particularly the Mafia 1 remake. The second installment was solid, though I’d like to see a free roam feature and the collectibles were definitely a pleasant discovery. The third game shifts more toward "far cry 3 - objective/collectible hunting," which isn’t a bad change but feels a bit off. The transitions to the interviews disrupt the immersion slightly. The main drawbacks are the visual quality and the confusing user interface. The first two felt fairly engaging, while the third prioritizes filling the screen with unnecessary details, especially the speedometer and mirror, which are hard to ignore. Overall, it was a decent experience with some enjoyable moments.

Mafia 1 is one of the main reasons I got into PC hardware and one of my favorite games. Its also one of the main reasons I got into cars and motorcycles, the games vehicle physics is lovely. I remember trying to play the original Mafia 1 back in 2002, after waiting an hour for the game to install through 3 Discs I finally booted it up and was greeted with an error saying that I did not have a good enough GPU or similar. It just refused to run. I was gutted. I was 10 years old, barely spoke or could read English, Google had only been out 3-4 years and youtube was 3 years away... Doing research back then was extremely tough and I didn't understand anything. After a few weeks I did end up convincing my mother to pool 2 birthdays and christmases of money together so I could finally buy a gaming PC!. It was a Pre-Built of course, whatever it was... But it did run Mafia 1! I remember taking the side panel off and just inspecting the components and learning this way. Mafia 2 is also a very good game and I do like it a lot. Story is great and it keeps the Mafia 1 tradition alive. Mafia 3 is a generic open world game that barely works as a game. Its horrible and should not be mentioned. Mafia 4 got a trailer 2 months ago, looking forwards to this one I have played the remakes of Mafia 1 and 2 and they are great! Mafia 1 remake is an absolute gem.

I only came across Mafia 2, but it offers a solid story and enjoyable gameplay. It's even more impressive because the developers are from the same country as me. The voice acting was perfectly adapted for the Czech language, which added a +1 to both gameplay and immersion.

Mafia 1 is basically just GoodFellas the game, hard to go wrong with that. Even in the remake, there are some parts of the gameplay that don't hold up amazingly, but the story is amazing (again, they just ripped off GoodFellas so it's hard to get this wrong) and most of the gameplay is decent, plus the remake is beautiful. 8/10 Mafia 2 fixes most of my gripes with the gameplay in 1, so if you skip the cutscenes it's a significantly better game. Storywise I'd say it's pretty good, it's a continuation of the universe without feeling like a sequel that is done really well. I will still say I prefer Mafia 1's story, but if I'm going to boot one of them up and play it again, odds are it will be Mafia 2 for the IMO much better game play. 8.5/10 I haven't played 3, and from everything I've heard it's not worth playing. I could be wrong about it, and I might try playing through it at some point, but take that for what you will.

Wow! This was an interesting experience, especially learning about PC technology. The main draw was playing Mafia and seeing some tech content. My only issue is the lack of clear mob characters—there aren’t many suits or gang members visible. It feels like the game might have been shortened to "Mafia 3" for humor. I can spot a few flaws, but I’ll wait to judge until I finish the game.

I only discovered 2k Czech recently after trying it out. Honestly, I had no idea there were major development studios beyond North America, Southeast Asia, France, and the UK. The only other game that caught my attention with a developer team was Flatout, which really appreciated the support from a senior manager to ensure timely release.

Mafia 2 secures a win mainly by letting you manage multiple weapons and keeping ammo on hand. I’m confused about why Hangar 13 seemed to require such a tough choice, but it’s really frustrating. Plus, Vito’s inconsistent progress—moving forward one step while regressing two—is just entertaining storytelling.

Games often span across countries, with Czech-made titles including Arma series, Beat Saber, Euro Truck Simulator 2, American Truck Simulator, Space Engineers, Factorio, Kingdom Come Deliverance (II), and DayZ.

It's a noticeable improvement, but the part that really bothered me about Mafia 1 was how they didn't adjust the difficulty properly. While most missions work well, a few—like the motorcycle chase and prison escape—feel quite unpredictable. On the hardest setting, winning or losing seems almost random, and lowering it makes things way too simple. I once got stuck at a checkpoint about a third of the time, with cops spawning to kill me, or they’d instantly damage my tires when I entered a car. Then, without changing anything, I just completed the mission randomly after spending over an hour stuck.

Played the second one, and I think I have the first in Steam since I got them as a bundle. It really appealed to me when I tried it, though the timed missions were quite frustrating. The third game's reviews kept me away from it, even though it caught my interest before release.
