Reflections on Scanline Synchronization
Playing around with Scanline Sync made the Radeon app quite challenging to navigate. I found the setup a bit overwhelming, though I appreciate it. During some testing in the old San Andreas, a basic FPS cap revealed noticeable screen tearing that was quite distracting. What do you all think?
Setup requirements must be followed carefully. If you don’t have a VRR display, there may be compatibility issues. The Radeon software might also cause problems. Review the Blurbusters discussions for more details.
Without VRR, everything runs smoothly on a 60hz display. Radeon Software functions well, though global options like enhanced sync can cause issues with certain games. Adding game-specific settings sometimes fails unexpectedly. Running on only 8GB RAM feels a bit slow for the app, but Scanline Sync is set up for some titles. The setup process is a bit lengthy, but it becomes much smoother after you get the hang of it.
Oof, consider improving the display. For Enhanced Sync, aim for a frame rate comfortably higher than that. It really depends on the specific settings and games you're using. If it doesn't apply universally, try adjusting it per game.
