This article discusses portable gaming setups and the current state of devices like the Vita and 3DS. It explores whether the Intel Atom X7 Z8750 can handle games in 1080p without streaming, possibly by emulating a PS2 at higher resolution while conserving battery life. The piece also references past mobile devices running on AMD Jaguar cores and questions their performance and value.

It seems it might handle PS2 emulation smoothly. For 1080p content, it’s unlikely unless the game is very recent. I’m also skeptical about running most AA games at 720p.

I really don't understand the graphics or performance of this Atom relative to today's SoCs, but if it matches the level seen in devices like the Nvidia Shield (tablet/gamepad) that can run Half Life 2 directly, I would be interested in purchasing one.

It seems Half-Life 2 would run smoothly on modern systems. Today’s processors are significantly stronger than older models, and the graphics card should outperform those from the Half-2 time period.
