Reflections on playing Battlefield 4 with a group of 64 participants
Hi! I really like games with 42 players at most. 64 is usually too chaotic for most maps. Everything feels fast-paced, with lots of action and constant movement. It's impressive but overwhelming for me... Unless you're in a strong position (like the top 5), you might keep getting hit repeatedly. With smaller servers, you have more room to plan things like flanking. Anyone else who shares this experience? Those who prefer half-filled servers?
Literal cancer among 64 participants unless you're on the major conquest maps
Yes! Yup. I rarely get nice neck-and-neck 64 player games. I live in the SEA region so communication is almost nil. Not a lot of players here speak/chat in english. It's always refreshing to play with communicable allies or seasoned clans though. But then the opposition gets so demolished there's no more challenge haha I don't understand why some PC players brag about their 64 player capacity when in reality it's almost always unplayable. 32 player servers are pretty good but PC's bigger maps can properly accommodate 42 players as well
Picture this: sixty-four participants in a single locker room. I've experienced it before, and it's always quite overwhelming.
I pick the 64er server whenever I need to go off on a mindless rampage. Such as on Metro, for instance.
According to me, 64 players on a BF4 server offers the best clusterfuck experiences today. But keep in mind, after a while the constant shooting—especially tanks—can become overwhelming (my personal take).
I only look at servers with 48 and 64 players. I avoid tiny maps except for the Metro/Locker ones, which I really enjoy—they’re fun despite the chaos.
