I understand my CPU is quite old, but I wanted to hear your thoughts on the OC I’ve installed. I’m managing to get it to run better, so I went for something low in vcore.

This performance is solid for Sandy Bridge and the earlier SB-E versions, achieving around 4.5GHz at 1.35V, whereas 1.25V offers excellent silicon results.

Thanks for the update. I believed I secured a solid CPU, but I’m questioning whether the boost in performance versus power usage is justified.

Love the CPU. Your vcore is really low. Awesome. This is mine: I manage to do 4.4 at around 1.275, but from 4.5 up it starts getting a bit high. I settled with [email protected]. CPU package idle temps around 42ºC. Full load @ 72º C.
