Linux on DEX is a close adaptation but not an exact replica of Ubuntu. It retains many features while offering unique configurations tailored for different use cases.

I appreciate the concept but haven’t seen it implemented yet. I’m looking forward to trying it later. For your second point, expect a mixed experience. You’ll get a full Ubuntu desktop, but keep in mind this runs inside a VM on your phone. That will result in much slower performance compared to a real desktop setup. Additionally, you’ll be using ARM-based software, so any apps built for x86 won’t be available. This should work well for most Linux desktops, but don’t expect your Steam library to function properly on the device.

I considered creating a note or S5E for a highly portable C++ dev setup. However, because it runs on an ARM chip, using the restricted Linux version isn't ideal.
