No, you can't directly swap those CPUs on the same motherboard. They have different socket types and performance capabilities.

I believe the i3 10100f is no longer functional. I plan to run it on an i5 10100f and see if it performs adequately before considering a replacement.

No, you can't change the CPU type on a motherboard once it's installed. The CPU is fixed when the system is built.
