Hello, I'm trying to understand why my Minecraft frame rate stays low even when shaders are enabled. My GPU usage is consistently around 50% with a RAM allocation of 6 GB on an R5 1600 and an RTX 5700. I've disabled settings like vigentve and motion blur, but I still get between 5 and 40 FPS, and up to 200 FPS without shaders. It seems the issue isn't my CPU, just the shader load. I'm wondering if there are any OptiFine or shader-specific tweaks that help AMD systems better. Also, should I adjust driver settings? I didn't mention the render distance, but it was set to 24 in Hypixel. If I could apply a similar setting on my AMD machine, would it make a difference?

This behavior is typical since frame rate remains consistent across different resolutions, settings, and optimization tools.

Using continuum shaders delivers better performance and quality. It works with PBR, normal maps, and more. Even on a budget PC, it runs smoothly enough for playability.

Certainly, here’s a revised version of your sentence:

In fact, this isn't typical. Consider following this tutorial on minimizing lag.

Adjusting settings like smooth world and smooth fps helped boost frame rates. Usage remains moderate in multiplayer (40-50%), while single-player performance reaches up to 70% with noticeably smoother visuals.

It seems the same frame rate drops when resolution is reduced, possibly due to VSync being enabled. The shaders are generally not very optimized, making it hard even with a GTX 3070 to run them at full settings depending on your position. We still have to wait for the RTX feature in the Java version to provide better graphics and smoother gameplay instead of relying on shaders.

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. I understand the issue and know that my graphics card can't handle hardware ray tracing, especially since I've turned off v-sync.

Adjust some settings in the shader options, it often impacts only performance, not gameplay. Experiment a bit—sometimes it changes with each shader.
