Reduced frame rate during extended play sessions
I own an X550ik notebook that I played Rainbow Six Siege and Fortnite for about seven to eight months. My average FPS was around 60 with noticeable drops when moving in Fortnite. At lower settings, I reached about 80 FPS, though it still experienced some fluctuations. After quitting Fortnite about two months ago, my Rainbow Six Siege FPS dropped to roughly 50 FPS, and I noticed no improvement even after adjusting my GPU. I lowered the GPU voltage and set the temperature cap from 81 to 80, but performance remained unchanged. I’m currently testing whether the drop is due to an update or my hardware.
It could be that the processor or graphics card is slowing down because of dust accumulation inside the laptop.
