I recently installed an RTX 3080 and haven’t faced any problems except in Jedi: Survivor. My GPU consistently runs at very low utilization with only 35-50 frames per second. I suspect the issue lies with the monitor I’m using. My primary screen is a 1080p, 360Hz Alienware model for action games, while my secondary display is a 4K, 60Hz monitor for story-driven titles like Jedi: Survivor. It seems the latter might be restricting the GPU’s performance. I don’t have Vsync enabled. Is there a way to resolve this? Thanks!

It doesn't match the low GPU usage pattern. If the GPU is underperforming because of high resolution, you'd expect near full utilization. This seems more like a CPU constraint rather than a GPU issue. Could you share your CPU and RAM details along with VRAM stats in Jedi Survivor?

I understand. It might become a constraint.

Jedi Survivor is a popular high-performance game. Make sure your graphics card isn't limiting you; boost the resolution if needed.

The display is 4K, yet I run the game at 1440p. My R7 9700X isn't used much—over 50% of the time. I have 32 Gigs of 6000 MT/s DDR5 RAM, and about 7-8 Gigs are being used out of the total 10.

Initially consider that performance can be restricted even when CPU isn’t fully used. Games usually cap speed on the main rendering thread before reaching multi-core limits, especially on modern processors. Lower GPU usage is a clearer sign of CPU constraints than high CPU load. Still, 35-50 frames per second appears quite low for this setup and the game. I have a few more questions: -What configurations are you applying and which part of the game is affected? The village hub area tends to be the most taxing. -Have you verified CPU and GPU temperatures to avoid overheating? -After installing your 3080, did you perform a complete driver reinstall (removing all existing drivers via DDU before installing new ones)? -Which Nvidia driver version are you running? Many users have reported problems with this year’s updates.

Running at 1440p Epic settings with RT enabled and DLSS upscaling active. CPU and GPU temperatures remain stable around mid-60s. This issue occurs consistently across all game areas. I performed a complete driver reinstall using the 3080 with the clean installation method, and the driver version released on March 14th.
