Reduce voltage settings for better performance.
AMD suggests that lower voltages reduce failure chances. I currently undervolt mine to 1.1V, whereas at 4.0GHz I used 0.95V before. Power use and heat decreased noticeably. Performance drops in games aren't too much since most don't rely heavily on single threads, especially when they run smoothly above 100 FPS. I wouldn't consider a 20 FPS drop significant unless it affects specific genres. The reason I stick to 1.1V now is that my BIOS only supports that setting, and changing it requires manual adjustments in Ryzen Master after booting. Updating to lower voltages would be inconvenient. AMD says it's acceptable as long as the chips function within warranty, which they claim lasts about three years.
