Hey, I see your setup. Your CPU runs at 3200MHz and RAM is 3600MHz. You want to adjust timings and voltage in BIOS for better performance. Your motherboard is a GIGABYTE B550m DS3H. Check the BIOS menu for options related to CPU frequency scaling and memory settings. You may need to enable advanced settings or look up your specific model for exact timings and voltage recommendations. Good luck!

Check the official AMD specifications or see if your CPU can actually reach 3600MT/s. The 5600G offers one of the top DDR4 memory controllers available, and most motherboards can support RAM speeds above 5000MT/s. If you need to lower the speed, enable XMP and set the memory frequency to 3200MT/s. This maintains the original timings while still benefiting from fast RAM performance.

It's listed on AMD's official website. I discovered this after purchasing them because my system was acting strangely—screen, mouse, and keyboard would shut down, and the PC required a restart. Through research, I learned it was related to the RAM.

I attempted to configure them at 3200mhz but the screen, keyboard, and mouse didn't respond. My BIOS displays this setting and I adjusted the FCLK Frequency to 3200mhz. I'm unsure if this is the correct adjustment.

Restart the BIOS and then apply XMP settings only. Check if it boots fine. 3600 usually works without issues. The 3200 from AMD is a reliable speed, though it isn't officially guaranteed. FCLK at 3200 doesn't make sense (it should be half for 3200 RAM, which is DDR). Just use XMP—it will handle the right configuration automatically.

It's likely this wasn't caused by RAM speeds. Did you verify it was indeed running at 3600MHz? Normally it should be around 2133MHz or similar. That's why XMP was introduced to allow running at the rated speed, but by default it's off unless explicitly configured.

I've already tried this. I turned on XMP to set my RAM to 3600mhz, but the system started failing twice. Each time XMP was active, RAM was running at that speed. At first I believed my RAM was defective, but a forum suggested it might be because I was pushing more speed than my CPU could handle. I also noticed others with similar setups using 5600G and 3600mhz RAM had the same issue, so I thought it was related to speed.

It occurred while I was playing a game and frequently switched tabs between Discord, the game, Spotify, and Chrome.

Sure, I understand. I previously reset the BIOS and configured the RAM to XMP, adjusting the frequency to 3200 manually. It should function now.

You're having trouble because setting the FCKL frequency to 3200MHz works on your PC but doesn't display any input devices.
