I'm in the closet, the computer is on the desk. About 10 feet away, I have a good view of the router. I need the best possible wireless connection from my computer to my NAS for gaming, but it's not perfect. Latency is still a problem. Now I'm trying to find a faster solution—maybe a higher-end network card for the NAS to improve performance.

Connect Ethernet from the network to the router, then extend it to the PC.

Be aware that wireless technology evolves constantly. Solutions that functioned yesterday might not today. Additionally, reducing latency isn't straightforward because wireless inherently introduces delays, leaving limited room for improvement.
