Red light stays on after BIOS startup completes
I swapped out the power supply, cleaned my PC and repositioned everything, even the CMOS. I booted it once more and it worked for about five minutes before shutting down. I opened BIOS to check the status and saw my CPU hitting 80°C. I switched the CPU pump fan to DC and attempted to save and reboot, but it still shows a solid red CPU light. I’ve done this several times where I try to save in BIOS to protect the CPU, clicking save and reboot... then the same red light appears. My specs are: B450 Tomahawk Ryzen 3700X (AIO cooling), GTX 1080Ti, 4x8GB RAM at 2400MHz, M.2 Corsair RAM, 1TB + 2TB HDD, HX750 Corsair PSU. I tested the CMOS battery with a multimeter and it read around 2.88V. I’m stuck trying to eliminate this red CPU light—it feels like a dead end and is really frustrating.
