I'm facing a challenging problem with my brand new PC setup. When I turn it on, the CPU debug light stays bright red on the motherboard, and the system fails to boot—no signal appears on the monitor. Details: Motherboard model MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk WiFi, CPU AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, cooler Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360mm, GPU Sapphire RX 6700 XT, RAM G.Skill Ripjaws S5 (2x16GB), storage WD-Black SN7100 1TB. I've followed BIOS flashback instructions using file E7D75AMS.1N1, double-checked CPU placement and paste application. Both CPU power connectors are secure, swapped RAM tried, booted with one GPU off, reset CMOS via jumper, verified all cables and mounts. Still no boot or beeps. This is my first build—feeling stuck. Could you help identify what might be wrong? Any suggestions, tests, or known compatibility concerns would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I recommend returning the board and requesting a different model. This will help avoid compatibility issues. If it doesn’t work with low-end hardware or won’t accept a BIOS update, there’s little we can do further.

Check if it's built into the case or not. It's usually wise to verify everything before putting it inside. This helps avoid some troubleshooting and makes it clearer if something is wrong, especially if you've followed the right steps, but you might want to try it outside first before committing.

It happened in the situation. Yesterday evening I took out all components from the case and mb, then tried again outside the case. Still, I kept trying a new BIOS flash without any software on the mb except the 24-pin power connector.

Join the discussions! The 8pin for CPU power is available, but it seems to be out of stock. Please return it to receive a replacement.

i'm facing the same problem too. after installing windows, i managed to boot but now it only starts with a dram light and restarts every time. it seems like the issue is more about hardware compatibility than ram or cpu specs. i thought i was dealing with ram compatibility and just got compatible parts, but everything still doesn't work. my system specs are: cpu 9600x mb-msi mag b650 tom ram- kingston fury 4x8gddr5 6000, gskill flare x5 2x16gddr5 6000, psu-theme themaltake toughpower gf3 750.
