Hi all! Recently I have been helping my local school with new laptop transfers for the teachers. Anyways, all of the users have a synced to the local server " U: drive ". During the more of files, one user's got lost, as we were moving them from other folders to this "U: drive". Well, I am able to restore the files on the computer, as that once every Friday, the server automatically creates a "restore point" for these drives, but only up to 10 days ago. By the time I fond out about this (now), it has been 2+ weeks. Is here any way to restore these files? On a side note, if this could be done without admin properties, it would be amazing! Thanks!!!

Only an administrator would have access to install data recovery tools.

It's going to be a challenge without Admin help. Clearing files from a network drive can be difficult to fix. They might also have tape backups available, which could require accessing the tape to restore the information.

The restore point is already configured without admin access. You can proceed with restoring it to a date more than ten days prior. That should be feasible.

You lack administrative privileges. If the request isn't from your own server, I won't interfere. I'll coordinate with those who do have admin access.
