I’ve stopped trying to fix my laptop and now I’m hoping to recover my data. I have a functional desktop with an unused D drive. Both computers run Windows 10. The issue is that searches for "SSD card enclosure" only show information about "ssd card." Many questions and answers seem irrelevant. This image comes from a guide that removes the SSD card from a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro 13, which is what I had.
What could work?

The USB M.2 enclosure is ideal. HOWEVER, there are various interfaces available for M.2 (SATA and NVMe). It's important to identify your SSD model and the interface type to select the appropriate enclosure.

Thank you. My searches on 2560 keep bringing up enclosures for 22mm wide. It is not going to fit, right?
Spoke too soon This one?

Review on Amazon says it does not fit

mSATA DRIVE!!!

This is false advertising. For those of you wondering if the "Sabrent USB 3.0 mSATA II or III/6G SSD Enclosure Adapter [Support UASP] (EC-UKMS)" fits a 25mm mSATA drive like the description (at the time of this review) says it does...just know that it doesn't. There is no way to affix the drive itself to lie stable against the PCB board which is standard for m2 devices.I've uploaded 2 pictures to this review and as you can see, the m2 drive will not lay flat but sits up loose on the PCB board. The housing then makes direct contact with the flash drive itself...which is no bueno.

I haven't used an MSATA drive before, so I can't give a practical suggestion. Perhaps someone else has a real-world experience.

I purchased this Startech product from Amazon. I removed the msata and placed it back. It seems to be working now. The aluminum case has holes, so I added a fan around it.
