Check if your BIOS supports XMP profiles and adjusting the frequency to 3000 or lower. For OBS, you might save the current settings and apply them directly. With your Nvidia GPU, this should significantly ease the workload by handling most encoding tasks.

Check if skipped frames or encoding delays occur only during gameplay or also when recording the desktop. If limited to games, what GPU performance do you observe? If maximum usage is reached, can you attempt to limit frame rate so it stays under 90% GPU load and capture the data?

Would you like to test an earlier release?

I noticed some games don’t work well with OBS—it often skips or lags even when the game runs smoothly. GeForce Experience seems to handle recording at higher bitrates without problems, but OBS does. I usually rely on it for non-game tasks.

Usually starting OBS as an administrator is required, and sometimes the preview feature must be turned off because it demands some GPU power.

I haven't tried that before... it looks quite unpredictable. I recall the last time I streamed a game, the stream was terrible... but when I streamed the same game earlier with identical settings, everything worked perfectly. Unfortunately, GeForce performs even worse during streaming—it often fails to recognize the login and stops transmitting altogether.

I've repeatedly attempted to activate the XMP profile in my BIOS, but it consistently reverts back to the default configuration.

I hadn't attempted this before, but yes. Recording my desktop still shows the lag with skipped frames.

What BIOS version are you using? This might be linked to RAM not functioning in OC mode.
