Hey everyone, remember our conversation last night about recording and gathering different viewpoints? I’m checking if we moved past just talking. I’ve begun recording our games and think a few of us already have recordings too. I’m hoping to see if we can organize everything and share some great videos soon.

Spoon and Napper typically capture and broadcast AFAIK, with the videos shared on their YouTube channel. Fresh viewpoints would be interesting, right?

It seems I only have access to certain parts of the game, not the full version.

I'd suggest uploading your videos to a cloud storage of your preference and sharing the links via PN. I'll handle the organization and respond once you're ready to delete the files. Use filenames like YYMMDD-Username. For upcoming recordings, 720p should run at 16MBit/s, 1080p at 4K at 40MBit/s. If everything is 1080p, I'll likely upscale to 4K, which could upset both YouTube and your ISP.

Shadowplay offers fixed bitrates—10Mb/s or 20Mb/s. Would you prefer the higher 20Mb/s and then reduce it to 16Mb/s using Handbrake?

In the shadowplay choices proceed to Quality -> Custom NVM I understand your point, increasing it shouldn't cause any issues.

You might also capture 720p at 40MBit/s; it doesn’t matter, you were the one who had to upload it. As Linus mentioned in his video, the goal of uploading upscaled 4k is to stream it at a higher bitrate than what 1080p would permit.

I can also capture audio, though keep in mind it'll be at 21:9 and won't maintain full 60fps. It should be about 45 fps. Thanks, Star Citizen! I’d need a decent free or inexpensive recorder.

Sure, 30 frames per second would work now if we locate a cloud site that supports it. I'm glad @ Napper198 can do that, his editing is better than mine if he agrees. WE should also talk about the start and end times for recording.
