When I capture at 720p, it only manages around 5-8 frames per second. At 480p it’s roughly 15 fps, and I can still record despite the delay. Why? You’re using Debut Video Capture Full. If that helps, let me know your 2.5-inch 5400rpm caviar blue model.

I don't have a personal computer, but I can help you find or check your PC specifications if you provide the details.

To achieve high-quality recording, consider enhancing your PC hardware and installing a suitable graphics card. The graphics cards handle the recording process while ensuring a well-rounded system to prevent performance issues. A 7200 RPM hard drive is helpful but not essential; 8 GB RAM is recommended (at least 4 GB). Monitor choice isn’t critical, but a 1920x1080 display works well for gaming and productivity.

Hey there! Nice setup you have—5820k, 980ti, SSD. Still feeling the slowdowns when optimizing?

he mentioned a built-in display, so I realized he must be recording on a laptop. This means upgrading is nearly out of the question. It would help to run as many programs as possible during recording. Ultimately, it won’t make much difference. Your computer isn’t very powerful.

The CPU handles the recording task unless you're using specialized hardware like NVENC, VCE or Intel's Quick-Sync. It also applies to laptops—will it need a complete rebuild for more performance?
