Oh wow! That game really stuck with me back then—I crushed it many times. It feels like it set the stage for the Batman-themed fighting games we know today. Super fun! I actually played it on my Mac!

I'm not sure if comparing the combat in ONI to Batman makes sense. Oni doesn't feel like a simple button masher, whereas Batman seems to be more of a repetitive challenge. I replayed ONI about two years ago and found it still enjoyable. The fighting flowed better for me on the original version compared to when it was first released. You might want to try it again if you have the necessary software (operating system, DLLs, etc.). There are even mods available, though I never actually made any changes myself.

I recall the final boss battle was really tough. I’ll have to try it once more. My intention wasn’t just pressing buttons, but using quick, nimble moves.

However, the final boss encounter might change based on decisions made during the game. It could vary greatly in terms of fighting style and tactics for this lengthy and challenging battle. Still, it's worth trying out "Rising Fury" and "Devil Spin Kick" once more.

I don’t recall that well! My only memory is the final battle, where I ran past this structure and into what looked like a parking area—repeating over and over. It’s been a while since I played this game.
