Hey there, I’m seeking some guidance on upgrading my CPU. The budget is really tight at the moment. With the i7 7700K priced around £300 in the UK, I’m considering a Ryzen 3600X and a new motherboard. However, I’m unsure if this would be worthwhile given my current RAM setup. Below are my specs. P.S. My RAM is Corsair CMK32GX4M4A2666C16 Vengeance LPX 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4 2666 MHz C16 XMP 2.0, high performance desktop kit. I’m not sure why Speccy isn’t picking it up.

someone who offered that tip really knows their stuff—just pass it along. I’d actually suggest skipping the CPU upgrade; the performance boost doesn’t justify the 300 pounds cost. Save that money for a Ryzen 9 in about a year, if you want to stream better. As for the GPU, upgrading there wouldn’t make much difference either at this point.

Your processor performs just like the Ryzen 3600X, consider saving for the upcoming AMD fourth generation. You could switch from 2666MHz to 3000Mhz if you opt for the fourth-gen model.
