Thank you all for your feedback and the light-hearted moments along the way. I’ll postpone the switch replacement for now. Instead, I’ll probably opt for a comparable but more recent 48-port PoE unit featuring six 10Gb SFP ports. Then I aim to secure a 10-port switch supporting 10Gb speeds for specific users. Our building spans two floors, and the existing cabling was installed before my arrival—likely it would need updating for a 10Gb network. Doing all 48 runs at once would be quite challenging.

This refers to the practical implications of the situation. I need more information to understand it fully. Do you have any monitoring data that backs up your opinion? Many people say 10G ports with PoE are generally not advisable or inefficient.
