Hello everyone,
I've just started playing PC games and wanted to take advantage of this sale to expand my Steam Library for the winter.
I enjoy single-player titles and would appreciate open-world experiences as well. Character creation isn't essential, but RPG elements would be nice. A good story is important too, and I can tolerate some questionable gameplay if the narrative is engaging.
I really like Dragon's Dogma and have been looking for games similar to it—any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I also enjoy titles like Dark Souls.
I'm open to trying various games, so please share recommendations on almost anything.
Thank you.

Assassins Creed Odyssey is on sale right now and according to the reviews it is very good with lots of play time.
If you have not played the Witcher 3 yet and you like RPG's, it's an absolute must play. Get it with both of the DLC's (The game of the year edition).

Kingdoms of Amalur brought a lot of enjoyment.
A Titan's Quest for a game similar to Diablo, even better.
Borderlands.

I've already bought Kingdoms of Amalur, heard good reviews about it and grabbed it when it was on sale.
I'm not a big fan of first-person shooters in general. I enjoyed Fallout but that was because the vats system made the shooting feel more like a game than real life. I'm just really bad at FPS games.
But Borderlands 2 handsome edition is available for around $5. Do I have to play the first one or can I jump straight into the second?

I highly suggest the fallout series! It performs exceptionally well on PC with mod support, and the new mod launchers are very user-friendly. Fallout 3, the new Vegas, and 4 are all excellent choices.

You can easily move to #2.
Titan Quest is a top-down action RPG similar to Diablo 1-3. It's not a first-person shooter. $4.

The discounts during the Steam sale remain constant throughout the entire sale period, not increasing over time.

They're now resolved.
Flash sales were previously conducted using steam, but they ceased approximately two years ago.
